Why Ted Cruz can NEVER be the POTUS

posted Feb 23, 2015 02:39:16 by RickMatheson
Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen of Canada and not the United States.
He was born in Calgary Canada in 1970. His father was born in Cuba and naturalized a Canadian. His mother was born in Delaware and naturalized a Canadian.
There are those out there, including Ted Cruz that would have you believe that he received Automatic Acquired Citizenship through his mother. Not so. For this to happen two things must happen. Both must be true.
First, both of Ted's parents must be United States Citizens. Secondly, not only must they be US citizens, one parent must have lived in the United States for 14 continuous years, 5 of which must have occurred after she was 14. This is not an either or but an and. Ted Cruz's father moved to the United States in 1974 but did not become a United States citizen until 2008. The above facts precludes Ted from Automatically Acquiring Citizenship. Notice the word, not an automatic acquired natural born citizen but just a plain citizen. This means only one thing. Ted Cruz is not a natural born citizen of the United States but of Canada and therefore does not meet the eligibility requirements spelled out in Article II Section I Clause V.
The only way Ted could claim NBC status is if either of his parents was on active military or embassy duty. This is not true so the ban stands. I would say there is question on if Ted Cruz can serve in Congress if Ted himself went through the immigration and naturalization process. To run for President he must give up his seat in Congress. He would be a fool to give this up, especially knowing I will, by a blood oath to God, file an eligibility lawsuit against him the moment he announces he is going to run.
Our Founding Fathers included the natural born citizenship clause in the Constitution to prevent any foreigner or person with divided loyalties from becoming President. The term is clearly defined. For that matter it is as clearly defined as freedom and liberty, but those who would subvert the Constitution for political gain would have you think otherwise. These people have been trying to make the NBC clause a dead letter for quite some time. Orrin Hatch, Republican from Utah attempted to pass legislation that would cause a Constitutional Amendment to be changed by the Amendment process. All attempts have failed. Since this is true they would have it changed by precedent and by fiat where by constitutional law has failed.
It matters not that Ted Cruz is a nice person or that he has all the answers to fix every problem we have. There are plenty of Natural Born Citizens that are likable and have those same solutions. In my case it appears as if Ted Cruz went to my campaign site and plagiarized my solutions to repair our broken nation.
Any American citizen that supports Ted Cruz is endangering our Constitution to the point to where it will become a dead letter. Once our Constitution is no longer valid, we are no longer a nation of laws that our Founding Fathers bequeathed to us.

Cruz was born on December 22, 1970[7][11] in Calgary, Alberta, Canada[7][17] where his parents, Eleanor Elizabeth Darragh Wilson[17][18][19][20][21][22] and Rafael Bienvenido Cruz,[20][21] were working in the oil business.[23][24] His parents owned a seismic-data processing firm for oil drillers.[20][25] Cruz's father, who was born in 1939 in Matanzas, Cuba,[20][21] as Robert T. Garrett of the Dallas Morning News has described, "suffered beatings and imprisonment for protesting the oppressive regime"[20][25] of dictator Fulgencio Batista. He fought for Fidel Castro in the Cuban Revolution[26][27] when he was 14 years old, but "didn't know Castro was a Communist."[28] A few years later he became a staunch critic of Castro when "the rebel leader took control and began seizing private property and suppressing dissent."[20][29] The elder Cruz fled Cuba in 1957, two years before the revolution, at the age of 18, landing in Austin,[25]a Cuban émigré, to study at the University of Texas, knowing no English and with $100 sewn into his underwear.[30][31] His younger sister fought in the counter-revolution and was tortured by the new regime.[27] He remained regretful for his early support of Castro, and emphatically conveyed this remorse to his young son over the following years.[20][27] The elder Cruz worked his way through college as a dishwasher, making 50 cents an hour,[19] earning a degree in mathematics.[25] Cruz's father is a pastor in Carrollton, Texas,[18] a Dallas suburb, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2005.[21]

Cruz's mother was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware,[21] in a family of Irish and Italian descent.[19][24] She was the first person in her family to attend college. She earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Rice University in Houston in the 1950s, working summers at Foley's and Shell Oil.[32] She later worked in Houston as a computer programmer at Shell.[25] Cruz has said, "I'm Cuban, Irish, and Italian, and yet somehow I ended up Southern Baptist."[4]

Cruz's parents returned to Houston in 1974, after working in the Alberta oil fields, when a slump hit the price of oil and they sold their first seismic data company.[18] They divorced while Cruz was in law school.[25]
